| By using Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) sub-database data in core Web of Science (WOS) database of Clarivate Analytics, the indexes such as the number of papers published, frequency of citations per paper, key countries, highly productive institutions and highly productive journals were analyzed. The results showed that the number of published papers in the plant protection discipline displayed a stable growth trend in the past 10 years, with an average growth rate of 6.42%. Both China and the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences were among the Top10 major publishing countries (institutions), but their publishing influence was insufficient. Among the top 10 highly productive journals, the United States held five seats, the United Kingdom three seats and Switzerland two seats. The National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) was the largest among the top 10 funding agencies for publication. |
