| Spodoptera frugiperda (J.E.Smith) is an important agricultural pest that invaded China in 2019. From July 1 to 2 in the same year, a field survey was conducted in Beihai city, Guangxi, and found for the first time that Maranta arundinacea was damaged by the S. frugiperda. In this paper, the occurrence and the damage characteristics of S. frugiperda were described to provide reference for the population monitoring and control of S. frugiperda. |
