本研究旨在明确柑橘木虱Diaphorina citri Kuwayama若虫与成虫复眼在个体发育过程中的外部形态与内部结构的变化, 以更好地了解柑橘木虱的视觉系统发育。利用光学显微镜、扫描电子显微镜和透射电子显微镜观察了柑橘木虱1~5龄若虫和雌、雄成虫复眼的外部形态和超微结构。结果表明, 柑橘木虱1~5龄若虫复眼呈椭圆球形, 雌、雄成虫复眼呈半球形;复眼表面均光滑, 无感觉毛, 且位于复眼中心区域的小眼排列紧密、整齐, 呈六边形, 而边缘区域的小眼呈近圆形或多边形, 小眼表面微向外凸起。每个小眼由角膜、晶体、初级色素细胞、视网膜细胞、次级色素细胞和基膜等组成。沿小眼纵轴方向8个视网膜细胞呈圆环形排列, 向心侧细胞膜特化延伸成微绒毛, 形成辐射状排列的感杆, 感杆融合形成融合型感杆束。柑橘木虱的复眼为并列像眼, 且若虫与成虫单个复眼小眼数量之间存在显著差异。柑橘木虱的复眼在生长发育过程中逐渐成熟, 小眼数目迅速增加, 表明其在生长发育过程中对视觉能力的需求逐步提高。 |

The objective of this study is to investigate the developmental changes in the external morphology and internal structure of compound eyes in both nymphs and adults of Diaphorina citri Kuwayama, aiming to gain insights into the development of its visual system. The external morphology and ultrastructure of compound eyes in the first- to fifth-instar nymphs, female adults, and male adults were examined using optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and transmission electron microscopy. The results revealed that the compound eyes of nymphs were oval-shaped while those of newly emerged adults were hemispheric. Both nymphs and adults exhibited smooth surfaces without trichoid sensilla. The ommatidia located in the central area of the compound eyes were hexagonal and tightly arranged, while those at the edge area tended to be nearly circular or polygonal, with a slightly convex surface. Each ommatidium was composed of a cornea, crystalline cone, primary pigment cells, retinal cells, secondary pigment cells, and a basal membrane. Eight retinal cells formed a circular arrangement along the longitudinal axis of each ommatidium, with their inner membranes extending into microvilli to form a radial arrangement of rhabdomere, which fused into a confluent rhabdom. The compound eyes of D.citri exhibited an apposition-type structure. A significant difference was observed in the number of ommatidia between nymphs and adults in each compound eye. The gradual maturation of the compound eyes during growth and development and the rapid increase in ommatidia count suggest that the visual capacity of D. citri increases gradually in the process of growth and development. |
