白刺夜蛾Leiometopon simyrides是为害我国西北荒漠草地防风固沙植物白刺的重要食叶害虫。为明确白刺夜蛾成虫触角及幼虫头部感器的种类、形态和分布特征, 利用扫描电子显微镜观察白刺夜蛾的雌、雄成虫触角和5龄幼虫头部感器的超微结构。结果表明, 白刺夜蛾雌、雄成虫触角均为丝状, 雄虫触角明显较雌虫粗壮。雌、雄成虫触角表面均分布有8种感器, 即B?hm氏鬃毛(Ⅰ型和Ⅱ型)、鳞形感器、毛形感器、刺形感器(Ⅰ型和Ⅱ型)、栓锥形感器、锥形感器、耳形感器和腔锥形感器。其中, 雌虫鳞形感器的长度和基部直径显著大于雄虫, 雌虫耳形感器长度显著大于雄虫。雄虫的B?hm氏鬃毛Ⅰ型和毛形感器的长度显著长于雌虫, 雄虫的刺形感器Ⅰ型和Ⅱ型较雌虫粗长。白刺夜蛾5龄幼虫头部发现6种感器, 即刺形感器、锥形感器、栓锥形感器、指形感器、板形感器和感觉锥, 这些感器主要分布在触角、下颚和下唇, 上唇和上颚仅有刺形感器分布。本研究为深入探究白刺夜蛾触角感器的嗅觉感受机制提供形态学基础。 |

The desert moth Leiometopon simyrides is a main insect pest of Nitraria spp., plants used for windbreaks and sand fixation in the desert-steppes of Northwest China. To clarify the types, morphologies, and distribution of sensilla on adult antennae and larval head of L. simyrides, their ultrastructure characteristics were examined using scanning electron microscopy. The results showed that both male and female adult antennae are filamentous, with male antennae being noticeably more robust. Sensilla on the antennae were categorized into eight types: B?hm’s bristles (Ⅰ and Ⅱ), sensilla squamiformia, sensilla trichodea, sensilla chaetica (Ⅰ and Ⅱ), sensilla styloconica, sensilla basiconica, sensilla auricillica and sensilla coeloconica. The sensilla squamiformia and auricillica were larger in females, whereas B?hm’s bristles Ⅰ and sensilla trichodea were longer in males. Additionally, male sensilla chaetica (Ⅰ and Ⅱ) were significantly thicker and longer. The larval head sensilla included six types: sensilla chaetica, sensilla basiconica, sensilla styloconica, sensilla digitiformia, sensilla placodea and sensory pegs. These sensilla were primarily distributed on the antennae, maxilla, and labium, with sensilla chaetica also found on the labrum and mandibles. This study provides a morphological foundation for in-depth study of the olfactory reception mechanisms in antennal sensilla of Leiometopon simyrides. |
