To clarify the species composition of agromyzid leafminers and their parasitoids in Qinghai, China, we conducted a survey from 2016 to 2019. Using random sampling method, we collected leaves from vegetables, weeds, and other plants infested by agromyzid leafminers. The emerging leafminers and their parasitoids were identified morphologically. Four species of agromyzid leafminers were found: the native species Phytomyza horticola and the invasive species Liriomyza huidobrensis, L.sativae and L.bryoniae. Among these, P. horticola caused the most damage, followed by L. huidobrensis. Additionally, we identified a total of 35 parasitoid species from three families (Eulophidae, Braconidae, and Pteromalidae), with Chrysocharis pubicornis and Diglyphus isaea being the most common. These findings suggest an increasing impact of leafminers on Qinghai’s vegetable crops. Timely monitoring of P. horticola and L. huidobrensis is essential, along with developing control measures. Given the diverse parasitoid population, efforts should be made to protect and utilize parasitoid resources, especially the two dominant parasitoids C. pubicornis and D. isaea. |
