      A method for the determination of cyflufenamid residues in wheat and soil was developed using gas chromatography. The dietary risk for China’s population was evaluated based on the data of cyflufenamid residues in wheat. Cyflufenamid was extracted by acetonitrile and purified by NH2 column. The samples were detected by gas chromatography and quantified by using the external standard method. At the fortified level of 0.02-10 mg/kg, the average recoveries of cyflufenamid in wheat plants, wheat seeds and soil varied from 78% to 119%, with a relative standard deviation of 0.63%-14%. The limit of quantification (LOQ) of cyflufenamid in wheat plants, wheat seeds and soil was 0.02 mg/kg. The dissipations of cyflufenamid in wheat plants were consistent with the first-order kinetic equation with a half-life of 1.5-5.1 d. According to the recommended effective dose of 132 g/hm2, the residual amount of cyflufenamid was less than 0.2 mg/kg during the harvest interval of 30-50 d. The national estimated daily intake (NEDI) of cyflufenamid was 0.002 77 mg, accounting for about 6.93% of the daily ADI. The potential health risk induced by cyflufenamid was not significant based on the trial data of supervised residues.
