Effects of doubled CO2 concentration on content of free amino acids in rice plant and honeydew of the brown planthopper were measured in this study. The results showed that CO2 concentration did not affect the total content of free amino acids in rice stem, and the free amino acids ranked in terms of contents at almost the same order between different treatments. In rice stem sap and planthopper honeydew, the total content of free amino acids significantly increased at doubled CO2 concentration, and the rank of free amino acids according to concentration differed significantly between different treatments. These results suggest that doubled CO2 concentration has little effect on the free amino acids in rice stem, but obviously influence the content and composition of free amino acids in rice stem sap and planthopper honeydew. |
