| The mini review describes the brief history of rice insect pest occurrence and the evolution of its corresponding management strategy in China. From the history, we can understand the causality of insect outbreaks and their management strategy. Only learning from nature and shaping management strategy through implementation of ecological approaches such as ecological engineering techniques, we can achieve a win win situation in sustainable pest management. |
