The early flowering stage, florescence, and the end of florescence of lemon were all damaged by the thrips. Damage, species, and the effects of 7 pesticides on the thrips during lemon flowering period were studied. The results showed that 9 species of thrips were found on lemon flowers, namely Thrips hawaiiensis, T.andrewsi, T.coloratus, T.palmi, T. flavus, Frankliniella occidentalis, F.intonsa, Megalurothrips distalis and Thrips sp. T. hawaiiensis was the predominant species on lemon flowers in Dehong of Yunnan Province. The results of field tests indicated that the efficacy of 25% thiamethoxam WG 3500 ×, 24% methomyl AS 2000 × and 20% carbosulfan EC 1000 × were better than the others. After 3 days, the population decline rates of the thrips were 93.07%, 90.90%, and 81.57%, respectively, and the corrected control effects were 95.36%, 93.91% and 8764%, respectively. After 5 days, the population decline rates of the thrips were 97.90%, 95.32% and 9275%, respectively, and the corrected control effects were 98.75%, 97.21% and 9568%, respectively. The 3 pesticides provided an important reference for controlling thrips at lemon flowering stage in fields. |
