| Athetis lepigone is a new insect pest in seedling stage of summer corn in China, and causes serious damage. It could help to make control strategy and prevent outbreak of A.lepigone based on timely monitoring and scientific forecast. This paper introduces the system investigation of time,the field survey tools, sampling method, statistical methods, census sampling rate, scope and time， and aslo the technology and methods of forecasting for occurrence and control of this insect pest. |
