| The studies and applications of transgenic crops in the world were given a brief account in this article.The progresses in the studies of rice disease resistance to fungi,bacteria,viruses and nematodes through gene transformation,the testing of transgenic rice plants,the field experiments,the releases and applications of transgenic crops were summarized.The necessity of evaluation on the environmental security of transgenic rice plants was addressed.The author gives his personal views about the contents for security evaluation. |
