| Recent development of the mycoinsecticide Metarhizium anisopliae for locust control is introduced in this paper. The taxonomic status, the most promising isolates, the pathogenic mechanism, the safety for other organisms, the side effects on the environment, the efficacy of field application, the effective formulation, the commercial mass production and the prospect for use in locust control are briefly discussed. |
