It is important to elucidate the tolerance physiology of Brassica napus under acetochlor stress for the breeding of new non-transgenic and acetochlor-tolerant rapeseed germplasms. The biological traits, glutathione metabolism, antioxidant analysis, correlation analysis and principal component analysis between phenotypic traits of 7-day-old seedlings of acetochlor-tolerant variety ‘Norin 41’ and acetochlor-sensitive variety ‘Dong Hae 1’ were performed using paper-bed method. The results showed that the growth, root lodging resistance, acetochlor detoxification and antioxidation ability of the tolerant variety were stronger than those of the sensitive variety, and the oxidative damage in the tolerant variety was lower than that in the sensitive variety. The erect-seedling rate, root-to-shoot ratio, fresh weight, superoxide dismutase activity, glutathione S-transferase activity and the content of malondialdehyde were the main factors reflecting the tolerability of the varieties. The results provide a useful reference for the breeding of acetochlor-tolerant germplasms. |
